Group Bookings

We do cater for large groups. Whether you want to order from our restaurant or would like a buffet we can cater to your needs on race days. Bar and food tabs can be arranged to suit your budget

Hatrick Raceway is the home ground to Wanganui Greyhound Racing Club and offers modern facilities with fully licensed bar, catering on-site and mobility access.

Our capacity is 200 - although for a fully seated function I would suggest 150 is comfortable. We offer indoor/outdoor flow via large sliding doors with a large deck across the front of our grandstand and great views across Spriggens Park.

Entry is free and we have parking available on-site. Check out our events calendar for race meeting details.

Events

Greyhound Racing

Greyhound racing is an organized, competitive sport in which greyhounds are raced around a track. There are two forms of greyhound racing, track racing (normally around an oval track) and coursing. Track racing uses an artificial lure (now based on a windsock) that travels ahead of the dogs on a rail until the greyhounds cross the finish line. As with horse racing, greyhound races often allow the public to bet on the outcome.
